So my human and I went for a run tonight. We started through our neighbourhood streets and something strange caught my eye. I slowed down and started to growl. My human looked at me wondering what was up. I started to stalk toward my prey, inching closer–but not too close before deciding if it was friend or foe.
"Silly Simba, it's just a tipped over recycling bin! LOL!"
Oh. I knew that. I still gave it the once over sniff check...you know, just to make sure, then we continued on our run.
Do you pups ever bark at silly things?? I'd love to hear about it! Leave your comments!

I bark at most new things in my home!Last year my human cousin was Freddy Crugar and the mask was hanging on a hook in Grandma's house. I really barked at that one! LOL
Bay
I don't bark, but instead stretch to get closer and then jump back when see something I'm not sure about. My Mom thinks I look really funny!
Lexy
I didnt really bark or growl, but I stalked a feather once and then pounced it (in fear) a few times, then grabbed it and ran and dropped it, just start all over. BOL
Sometimes, Faith will scratch at the closet door where Mommy keeps the buckets with our food in it. EVERY SINGLE TIME WITHOUT FAIL that Faith does this I run over and growl and bark at her and pounce if I can!
I bark at the mean old vaccum. I HATE THAT THING! Other than that I don't really bark at anything other than strange dogs and people.
Mommy says I bark at EVERYTHING!! *blush* Anything that moves too quick, anything new or strange, etc. I bark a lot when I see a big tall man, even the ones I know. Mommy says it gets rather annoying! OH!!! And sometimes, if I'm downstairs and Mommy is upstairs, I forget that she is up there, so when she comes down I bark and growl at her until I see her and realize that it's just Mommy coming down the stairs. OOPS!!
You noticed it because it was tipped over which means something was wrong. Smart Simba!
Me, I stalk those temporary 'men at work' roadsigns. There's just something about them that makes me feel deeply suspicious.
I always bark at people, bikes, things like that...BUT on some nights I'll growl and stalk stop signs BOL Mom says I act like I've never seen them before!! I also bark at the orange road cones & it takes awhile for me to get up the courage to sniff them. I NEVER EVER EVER go near sewer holes or man holes. I'm terrified of those things! Great blog by the way :)
If in doubt about ANYTHING I bark at it. Seems fair enough to me, although J1 doesn't always see it like that. J x
I finally heard Finn bark today. He did it twice, I have no idea why, dogs are weird like that.
