Banished from the Bed!!

OMD!! I've been banished from the bedroom where my humans sleep!! Can you believe it?? I can't!!

Well my human dad has sensitive skin and has been getting hives, and he now thinks he might *gulp* have an allergy to me!!

So until it goes away, I'm not allowed to snuggle in the big bed anymore. This, pups, is a very sad day.

Keep your paws crossed that it goes away, and I'll be able to snuggle under the cover again soon with my humans!!

Until then, I'll just have to enjoy my Sleeping Bag Bed.

Ok pups, I know you depend on me for my daily blogs, but here in North America it's Labour Day weekend, so I've been away on some adventures! (which, of course I'll be posting about!) Keep your eyes open!

Children

I don't know about you pups, but I'm a bit skittish around children. They like to squeal, grab, pull and generally smother. When I'm out on walks, it's worse. They run full speed up to me, just wanting to "pet" me, but do I know that?? All I see are these little beasts coming at me! So naturally, if I'm caught off guard, I sometimes bark. Then my poor human gets the "hairy eyeball" from the little beasts parent...like I'm vicious!! Hmmpphhh!

To add to my point, yesterday during my evening walk what do I witness? Children in charge of a dog (we'll call him "Buddy"). Two small kids (human says they looked about 7 and 11 years old) were supposed to take "Buddy" for a walk. On their way, they see the playground. What's a kid to do? Be responsible and give "Buddy" his exercise? No, when we see them, "Buddy" has his leash tied to a fence post as the children are playing.

Is "Buddy" happy? Well, if you think straining at your leash to get away, yelping to the point of a loud, shrill noise is happy, I guess I've been missing out!

I know not all children are like this, even my own "human cousins" who are ages 4 and 6 are very good and patient with me! Plus, they let me chase them in the backyard!!

So pups, be careful of the small beasts they call children, while they can provide some fun, and often good table scraps, they too can be a bit scary. Always keep your eye on them!

I'm a Lucky Dog!

I love getting mail! Today I got to go the the post office with my human to pick up a parcel. What a surprise! It was for me!!

My friend Bonnie sent me a pawesome package of my favourite treats: Lucky Dog Biscuits! Yummy! They are all natural goodness, so for you pups concerned about healthy choices, these are the cookie for you!

Punishment is over

So I decided they suffered enough, BOL, and when I woke up this morning it was business as usual! Boy was my human mom happy!

Cold Shoulder

So I've been giving my pawrents the cold shoulder. I think today will be the end of it, you pups can let me know.

Last night it rained. My pawrents were going out, without me, and wanted me to do my biz before they left.

In. The. Rain.

Needless to say, I was NOT impressed. Of course I couldn't concentrate to go when the rain was beating down on me! What were they thinking??

Anyway, they left me nonetheless and upon their return, I was not speaking to them.

They did look devastated. I almost felt sorry for them. Those sad human eyes, wondering why I wasn't coming for a snuggle on the couch. Such manipulators! They even offered up cookies, thinking that would make everything ok.

They just don't get it. So how long should I make them wait before it's all wags and kisses??
